Alumina balls are not dangerous goods and are not subject to state control. However, if they are exposed for a long time, they must wear dust masks, because aluminum oxide powder will cause damage to human lungs and brain, and long-term inhalation will cause damage to human nervous system, immune regulation system, etc. So how was it fired?
1. Extrusion forming
Extrusion forming is a kind of forming method with low grade in the same kind of ceramic balls at present, but it is also a forming method with large output. It is generally used to form ceramic balls below medium aluminum or clay balls. The ceramic ball has the advantages of low sintering temperature, simple production equipment and small investment. It can be produced only by ball mill, filter press, vacuum mud mill and kiln at lower temperature.
2. Pellet forming
Pellet forming is a semi dry wet forming method based on the production process of forming dumplings. It is formed by continuously sticking dry powder on the outside of the "wet core". This forming method determines that its embryo body density is low, and the embryo body is layered, which is easy to peel off during grinding and has poor impact resistance. This forming equipment is relatively simple and only needs a set of pelletizer.
3. Hydraulic hard die forming
The forming method requires high powder, and the powder must be sprayed and granulated. Different equipment is used according to different specifications and output requirements. In the early stage, small batch production and even hydraulic jacks are used to form alumina ceramic balls. With the fierce competition in the industry, this production mode has been phased out.
4. Dry isostatic pressing
Dry isostatic pressing is an advanced forming method at present. It is easy to realize automatic production and is less affected by human factors. The consistency of embryo shape and appearance is better than that of wet bag cold isostatic pressing.
Alumina ball has the characteristics of high hardness, high density, low wear, smooth surface and corrosion resistance. It is an ideal grinding medium for grinding glaze, blank and various powder materials.
