Description

Zirconium Toughened Alumina Ceramic Liner refers to a wear-resistant ceramic product that is used to provide protection to industrial equipment exposed to heavy impacts and abrasions. It is designed to outlast conventional steel liners and offer superior performance in terms of durability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.

ZTA wear liner comprises a composite ceramic material that consists of zirconia toughened alumina. It is formed by sintering zirconia and alumina powders at high temperatures to create a highly dense and hard-wearing material. The zirconia content provides toughness and resistance to fracture, while alumina content imparts high wear-resistant properties, making it an ideal lining material for industrial applications.

Characteristic

The advantages of using ZTA Ceramic Wear Lining for Material Conveying over conventional lining materials such as steel are many.

Firstly, ZTA lining provides excellent wear resistance, outlasting steel liners by up to ten times.

Secondly, ZTA lining is highly resistant to corrosion and chemical attack, making it an ideal material for aggressive environments.

Thirdly, ZTA lining is lightweight, reducing the weight of equipment, which translates to a reduction in energy consumption, and ultimately cost savings.

Application

ZTA Ceramic Wear Lining for Material Conveying is widely used in various industrial applications that involve heavy wear and tear. It is commonly used in pumps, cyclones, chutes, hoppers, pipes, and tanks, among other equipment that is exposed to high impact, erosion, and abrasive conditions. ZTA lining offers excellent performance in mining, cement, steel, power plants, and other heavy-duty industries.

Mining and Quarrying: Chutes, hoppers, crushers, and conveyor belts.

Cement: Raw mill, cyclones, separator, and ducts.

Steel: Blast furnace, coke oven, sintering plant, and rolling mill.

Power Generation: Ash handling system, pump, and pipelines.

Why is ZTA liner better than alumina liner?

An important advantage of ZTA liners is their high strength. Because they contain zirconium oxide, which is generally more ductile than aluminum oxide, ZTA liners can better absorb impacts and resist cracks. This makes them ideal for high-wear applications such as mining and material handling.

In addition, ZTA liners have a higher thermal shock resistance. This means that they can withstand sudden temperature changes without cracking. Therefore, they are more suitable for high temperature environments than alumina liners.
